A piece of rock ‘the size of an apartmentbuilding’ fell off the famous El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. One person died and another one was injured.
There were at least 30 climbers on El Capitan when the piece of rock fell on Wednesday afternoon. This time of the year is the high season for climbers in Yosemite National Park. It is a miracle that there were only 2 people involved.
El Capitan is one of the world’s largest granite monoliths. It towers 1219m above Yosemite Valley.
