Scientists of the UW\u2013Madison\u2019s Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) observed the Great American Eclipse through the eyes of one of the world’s most advanced weather satellites, GOES-16.<\/p>\n

Every 5 minutes a photo was taken. When these photos are shown in sequence, you can see the shadow of the moon cross the USA from west to east.<\/p>\n
